Tina Goodin, Ph.D., ABPP, is a Board Certified Licensed Psychologist in Palm Beach County. Recently relocated, Dr. Goodin has been in practice for 24 years and has continued practising here in Palm Beach County. She was a professor at both McGill and Wayne State Universities and Founding Director of Counseling Services at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. She is a member of the Florida Psychoanalytic Society, the Canadian Psychoanalytic Society, Florida Psychological Association, the International Psychoanalytical Association and a Diplomate of the American Board of Professional Psychology. Dr. Goodin has a broad range of professional expertise. As a psychotherapist, she works with adults, children, infants, the elderly, couples and families. She has worked in university settings, at rehabilitation hospitals and at clinics. Dr. Goodin leads group sessions on any number of subjects, from eating issues to grief and loss, adapting to illness, adjusting to parenthood, dealing with divorce and more. Her special interests include individual psychotherapy for adults struggling with depression and anxiety that manifest in relationships at home, at work and elsewhere. She helps those suffering with illness, post traumatic stress, obsessive-compulsive issues, performance anxiety, cultural issues and life transition issues. Dr. Goodin supervises doctoral students and enjoys mentoring them as they enter the clinical domain. She has been a member of several Faculties and Committees that promote various areas of psychology and she takes pride in speaking engagements of all sizes, including corporate and not-for-profit-groups. She is actively involved in charitable causes in both personal and professional capacities.
Dr. Goodin graduated with her Ph.D. from McGill University. She received her certificate as a Psychoanalyst from the Canadian Psychoanalytic Institute with further training in Child Psychoanalysis at New York University. She has published extensively, lectured around the world and has a special fondness for her radio talk show, Dr. Tina.
